i hate the internet

i hate the internet.

it brings us closer together, even if we're oceans apart. it allows us to keep in touch despite the distance that separates us. through instant messaging and the internet phone, we can talk about the regular things we used to talk about. it melts the miles between us. we don't have to wait weeks for letters to arrive, we don't have to save the pennies for that one phone call. we're within reach of each other.

it's almost as if we'd never parted.

and that's why i hate the internet.
